SOCIAL LISTENING- NIKE COLLAB WITH SKIMS


        The brand Nike, is a popular brand who everyone uses, even sports jerseys have the logo on it. Nike is also known for making collabs like with Lebron James. This year they collaborated with SKIMS by Kim Kardashian. This had the fans go crazy, waiting for this to drop. Everyday the company and Kim Kardashian would post about it whether it was sneak peaks or showing the clothes. I was interested in this because I love nike, I always wear nike. It's my go to and might be for others too, so whatever they drop people would want.





Nike is a brand value proposition is to be for everyone they have all sizes, all different colors, trendy, and aesthetic. They are focused on all their consumers to feel welcomed with their products.

For the most part, Nike receives many good feedbacks, all the comments people are posting about on social media whether its about the Nike Vomero, or the skims collection, etc, those comments and reviews are having people buy their products, because "there good gym shoes", "their cute, it goes with anything", "good quality". all these things make the industry buy them. Even though the prices can be an excessive amount, people still buy them. Also for the NikeSkims collab, Serena Williams said "it feels like butter on your skin...I feel unstoppable when training in it" and "skims are very body-oriented." 

The products, services and message this company is trying to sell is good quality clothes and shoes. The services they have are physical stores, online stores and memberships. The service support as well. It inspires athletes and any other customers with their "just do it" sign. its to encourage everyone to keep doing what they're doing. The NikeSkims partnership deliver what no other brand can "a new aesthetic and system of dress, obsessively crafted for the body, from the studio to the gym and beyond" the release states.The release states


Nike has 298Million followers and Skims has 6.9Million, so there all very known. They both post daily and also post a lot on their stories. 
Nike and Skims marketing efforts were doing little videos of people working out so the customers know this is good active wear. They also gave PR to expand sales with this collab knowing its a big difference from what nike usually does. 


How the customers responded to this drop was shocking, not expecting it. No one thought this collab could happen but some people were excited knowing this drop was gonna be iconic. The clothes weren't just any type of clothes, they were made for sculpting the body and making you feel more confident.


If I was the brand manager I would be more consistent with social media like more skits with their products and making outfits that will not only be comfortable but cute and stylish.


What I learned from this assignment was how these collabs going on with nike are not only reaching more people but also helping them get even more sales.
